Grass-Fed Angus Cattle in Manilla
Bregot Grazing breeds in-demand grass-fed Angus cattle weaners for sale at the local markets. With many years of experience working with different breeds of cattle, Breck and Margot Johnston chose to breed robust and adaptable Angus cattle because of their popularity and temperament, and because they’re well suited to grazing on the native grasses in the region.

Glen Barra
The property, Glen Barra, is a 9000-hectare with excellent mountain and basalt country growing a valuable mix of native grasses, white clover and arrow leaf clover. In the coming years Bregot Grazing is looking to build and improve their herd to 2500 breeders. Currently, now that rainfall has improved the land, the heifers are kept as breeders and weaner steers are sold at the local market when they’re between six and eight months old.
Autumn Weaner Sales
Bregot Grazing sells many of its weaners at the autumn sales but we also like to spread them over the major sales at Tamworth. Our cows and heifers are joined with bulls for 12 weeks at the end of September for optimum winter calving to produce premium weaners ready for sale in April and May of the following year.
Quality Angus Breeding Bulls
Bulls are purchased from Guyra stud Bald Blair Angus and Goonoo Red Angus stud at Tamworth with predominately black bulls for the bulk of the herd, and red bulls for joining with the younger heifers. Breck chooses well-proportioned bulls with long bodies that are ready to start breeding right away.
